A pulsar star is a highly magnetized rotating neutron star that emits beams of electromagnetic
radiation out of its magnetic poles. This radiation can be observed only when a beam of emission
is pointing toward Earth(Basically a lighthouse of space).
A quasar is a galaxy with a supermassive black hole in the centre of it. Quasars give off a high
amount of radiation wich means we can figure out where they are with special machines.Quasar
discovery surveys have demonstrated that quasar activity was more common in the distant past;
A supernova is the explosion of a star. These are actually one of the largest explosions
in space. The remnants of a supernova could be seen for another 1,000s of years after.
We can see supernovas from Earth because they are so large. The next supernova is to be
expected in 2037. Try to spot it!
A black hole is an infinitely bent piece of space, where gravity is so strong nothing can escape,
not even light. A black hole can even bend light itself which is why we see it as a hole and a disk
of light surrounding it.
